Melanoma is the most deadly of all skin cancer, and the incidence is increasing.   It is estimated that 1 in 50 people will get melanoma in their life.

The Texas Melanoma Institute was founded to promote awareness, detection, diagnosis, and early intervention of malignant melanoma skin cancer.  We are saving lives, one patient at a time.

It is estimated that over 178,000 cases of new melanoma will be diagnosed in 2018, and more than 9,000 deaths expected.

Early detection is critical.  Doctor-performed skin examination is the key to detection, and, in many cases, is the difference between life and death.
